Fit your Berghaus Yeti Gaiters

Old Indoor Method

Whilst its not a complex bit of gear anyone who has used a pair of Yetis will know what a pain it is to fit them, first time I put them on my boots I managed to cut my hand with the screwdriver I was using as a lever, so I wrote the above guide to fitting your Berghaus Yeti Gaiters a while ago. A new, outdoor, method is shown below

First push the toe of the boot into the gaiter and line up the rubber rand (figs 1 and 2).

Then pull the rand up and over the heel (fig 3). Once it is doubled over grab a handful of the gaiter fabric and (carefully, lets not rip anything) drag the back of the gaiter over the heel(fig 4).

All that you have left to do now is sort out the doubled over rubber and un-crease the fabric (fig 5). You can do this easily enough by hand but a spoon handle will speed up the process (fig 6).

New Outdoor Method

This method was sent to me by Mike Rochester, he wrote it for Denbigh Army Surplus who were the sellers for a UK military copy of the Yeti (it has been recreated here with Mike's Permission), but the method applies equally for the Yeti.
