Installation
Installing SuSE 9.0 and 9.3 on the Panasonic CF48 is easy. So easy you don't really need this guide at all, just boot from CD, and away you go. Please note however that if the bootable CDROM drive does not work you will not be able to install SuSE 9.3. This version, at present (May 2005) does not come with bootable floppy images!! To repair your CDROM drive please see my CF48 Repairs Page.

Power control under SuSE 9.3 is already enabled for all users. Also suspend-to-disk is available under 9.3, whereas under 9.0 all you get is an enhanced form of stand-by, that will use approximately 20% of battery power every 4 hours.
